Nathan Kelly (born October 22, 1980) is an American composer, orchestrator, and pianist. He studied at the University of North Texas, The University of Texas at Austin (Bachelors), and The Juilliard School. He studied orchestration privately in New York City with Danny Troob, composer Tobias Picker, and as the only student of multi-award winner Jonathan Tunick. He attended Tanglewood, Aspen Music Festival, Atlantic Center for the Arts, ASCAP/NYU film scoring workshop, and Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program. He interned at Walt Disney Studios and worked as a copyist for Alfred Music Publishing, Schott Helicon and G. Schirmer. He has orchestrated for albums for Dionne Warwick, Broadway shows (Gypsy with Patti LuPone '08, Curtains, The Tony Awards, Sir Andr Previn, The Kennedy Center, Stephen Schwartz' Opera Seanc on a Wet Afternoon, Lea Salonga), and concerts for artists such as Audra McDonald, Peter Schickele and Sarah Brightman.
