OR 78 begins at an intersection with US 20 and US 395 in Burns and continues southeast through Crane and New Princeton to Burns Junction, where it ends at an intersection with US 95. OR 78 was assigned to the Burns-Crane Highway No. 24 when the Oregon route numbering system was initiated in 1932. Oregon is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It is located on the Pacific coast, with Washington to the north, California to the south, Nevada on the southeast and Idaho to the east. The Columbia and Snake rivers delineate much of Oregon's northern and eastern boundaries, respectively.
