The first meeting was held on the 5th April 1975 in front of a crowd of over six thousand people.The team did not enjoy a great deal of success and, despite a brave effort by their supporters at the end of the 1976 season, the final meeting was held on 25 September 1976 when the Lions beat Boston 52-25.
