It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north-east of Baka arzewo, 14 km (9 mi) west of Suwa ki, and 116 km (72 mi) north of the regional capital Bia ystok. The settlement has a population of 40. Gmina Baka arzewo is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Suwa ki County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland. Its seat is the village of Baka arzewo, which lies approximately 19 kilometres (12 mi) west of Suwa ki and 114 km (71 mi) north of the regional capital Bia ystok. The gmina covers an area of 123.01 square kilometres (47.5 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 3,053. Suwa ki County (Polish: powiat suwalski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Podlaskie Voivodeship, north-eastern Poland, on the Lithuanian border. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998.
