In the early 1970s, Pakistan Army's 1-Star Brigadier General Muhammad Sarfraz, the Military administrator of 158th Mountaineering Brigade, 56th Mountain Division of V Corps, posted in Chagai District, received a telegram transmission from the Pakistan Army General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.
