He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 62 in December 2009. Temple is the holder of the 1st and 4th British Squash Professional Association (BSPA) Elite Events. He is the semi-finalist of the 2008 Australian Open; losing to David Palmer of Australia. Robbie is currently playing his squash in and around London. David Palmer (born 28 June 1976 in Lithgow, New South Wales) is a professional squash player from Australia. He won the the Super Series finals in 2002, the World Open in 2002 and 2006; the British Open in 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2008; and the Australian Open in 2008. He attained World No. 1 ranking in September 2001 and again (for one month) in February 2006.
