January 2, 1927, lives in Blonay/VD, French part of Switzerland)
was a Swiss bobsledder who competed in the mid 1950s. He won a gold
medal in the four-man event at the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina
d'Ampezzo. Alt also won a gold medal in the four-man event at the
1955 FIBT World Championships in St. Moritz. The FIBT World
Championships 1955 took place in St. Moritz, Switzerland for the
record seventh time. The Swiss city had hosted the event previously
in 1931 (Four-man), 1935 (Four-man), 1937 (Four-man), 1938
(Two-man), 1939 (Two-man), and 1947.
