He played four seasons of Major League Baseball as a utility infielder for the New York Yankees and California/Anaheim Angels. Robert Eenhoorn played four seasons in Major League Baseball as a utility infielder. From 1994 to 1996 he played for the New York Yankees, and from 1996 to 1997 he played for the California Angels, who changed their name to Anaheim Angels at that time. He is the only major league player born in the Netherlands to have hit a home run. All other Dutch MLB players to have hit home runs were born elsewhere, mainly in the country's Caribbean territories, most notably the Curacao native Andruw Jones.
