Saefs (Paperback)

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Saefs (or Sefes) were a Celtic people. An Early Hallstatt culture, they were first in what is now the Czech-German area and later in Iberia (Portugal and Spain). According to the Celtic Encyclopedia they migrated over the Pyrenees in the 6th century BCE with the Cempsi tribe, though Juan Jesus Martin Tardio dates this five centuries earlier. In Iberia, they settled in various mostly mountainous regions. Some settled along the Bay of Biscay and the headwaters of the Ebro; most settled with other Hallstatt tribes along the Douro from Numantia to the Atlantic Ocean; some settled near the Cempsi along the south coast to the Tagus.
