Saint-Georges Aerodrome, is a general aviation aerodrome located 1.5 NM (2.8 km; 1.7 mi) west-southwest of Saint-Georges, Quebec, Canada near the border with Maine. The airport has a long, paved runway, suitable for use by jets. The airport is classified as an airport of entry by NAV CANADA and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency. CBSA officers at this airport currently can handle general aviation aircraft only, with no more than 15 passengers. Saint-Georges is a city in the province of Quebec. It is the seat of Beauce-Sartigan Regional County Municipality, part of the Chaudiere-Appalaches region. The population was 30,113 as of 2009. Route 173 runs through Saint-Georges Est (where it is known as Boulevard Lacroix) and heads south to the border with Maine, USA. As of June 20, 2006, the mayor was Roger Carette.
