Tomislav Petkovi (August 17, 1951) is a Croatian physicist and philosopher.Born in ibenik, he completed primary school in Vrpolje and gymnasium in ibenik in 1970. After having graduated electronics and radiocommunications at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (nowaday the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing) in 1974 and also philosophy and sociology at the Faculty of philosophy in 1976, he received his M.A. in nuclear instrumentation in 1977 and Ph.D. in experimental particle physics at th Faculty of Science in Zagreb in 1986 under the international committee.He is a full professor at the Department of Applied Physics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, a guest physicist at the particle accelerator centres of BNL and TJNAF, and an associate professor at the department of physics at the East Carolina University.
