The 2007 Census Estimate shows a population of 10,280. The county seat is Jeffersonville.The county is named for American Revolutionary War general John Twiggs.Twiggs County is the exact geographical center of Georgia.According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 363 square miles (940 km ), of which, 360 square miles (933 km ) of it is land and 3 square miles (7 km ) of it (0.73%) is water.
