The Warka Brewery is one of Poland's oldest breweries and belongs to the ywiec Group. ywiec Group has five main breweries: ywiec Brewery, Elbrewery, Le ajsk Brewery, Cieszyn Brewery and Warka, and is majority owned by the Dutch Heineken Group. The brewery is located in the historic downtown of Warka.The company claims that in 14th century Boleslaus V The Chaste, the Mazovian Prince, reserved the exclusive right to Warka for delivery of beer to his court. The current plant was opened in 1975, under the Zak dy Piwowarskie w Warszawie (Warsaw Brewing Industries). Warka Brewary was purchased in 1999 by Grupa ywiec S.A. The brewary was modernized in 2004 and now has a production capacity between 2-3.5 hl annually. It is the second largest brewery in Grupa ywiec. The brewery makes three products: Warka, Strong, and Krolewskie.
