The Workers' Youth League (Bokmal: Arbeidernes Ungdomsfylking, Nynorsk: Arbeidaranes Ungdomsfylking, or AUF) is the youth wing of the Norwegian Arbeiderpartiet. AUF was formed in April 1927, following the merger of Left Communist Youth League and Socialist Youth League of Norway. It's ideology is social democracy and democratic socialism. The current leader of AUF is Martin Henriksen. Some of the former leaders of AUF have gone on to become prime minister or take on other cabinet posts or political offices, such as Jens Stoltenberg (incumbent Norwegian Prime Minister). In the 1990s, it was the subject of the Workers' Youth League membership scandal.
