Born in the city and raised in town, there was nothing in his few years to prepare Larry for life on a farm with few if any modern conveniences and a bunch of strange animals to boot. But, when he was seven, his parents moved him into just such a situation. It did not, however, take him long to learn that individuals in each species have personalities of their own that had to be dealt with.
