Laurell K. Hamilton has created a new series about the Sidhe/ Fey (otherwise known as Fairies) turning the idea of harmless little pixies into sensual and breathtaking characters that bound of the page. Princess Meredith NicEssus Gentry a fey princess of mixed mortal blood, has been hiding in Los Angeles for three years, from her wicked Aunt Andais, the Queen of Air and Darkness. Knowing that because of her mortality she could not survive another duel as she was unwillingly drawn into a power struggle over the question of succession. After mishandling a case at the Detective Agency where she works, Merry is exposed and forced to return to the Unseelie court, accompanied by Andais's personal Darkness, Doyle. Upon arriving Merry discovers that times have changed at the court and the fey are growing weak, the Queen wants Merry to bed some of the most gorgeous Sidhe men in the world and Merry has to produce a child within three years in a race for the throne against her sadistic cousin, Cel. The loser will die... This is a must read and I urge everyone to give it a go!!!! I can't wait for the next books in this series.
