Leading by Being and Doing - Integrating Person and Practice in Ministry (Paperback)

"Learn how to lead out of who you are, and less out of who others expect you to be."

In his inaugural book, Leading by Being and Doing, Dr. Sam Rockwell provides Christian leaders with the necessary spiritual groundwork and practical tools to create an authentic and resilient ministry that will stand the test of time.

"Integrating being and doing brings life into focus. They must never be separated or inverted. Dr. Rockwell gives us a brilliant guide to help accomplish this delicate balance." -Jerry Cook, author of the national bestseller, "Love, Acceptance and Forgiveness"

"In this study of leadership, Sam Rockwell has given us hope for our own narratives and has given us a proven way to catalyze authenticity in others by being real as described in these pages. As an educator and trainer I have finally found a book that speaks to what makes a leader's brokenness redemptive." -Dr. Joseph Umidi, Professor, Regent University, author of "Transformational Coaching"

"Leading by Being and Doing covers the high points of spiritual leadership for those who would build movements rather than merely a following." -Ralph Moore, author of "How to Multiply Your Church and Making Disciples"

Rockwell writes, " "This book is both personal and practical in that it was written mostly as a response to very real dilemmas and questions spiritual leaders grapple with on a daily basis: 'What am I supposed to be accomplishing? How is this measured? What will last over time? How do I start?'" Dr. Rockwell balances these practical issues with sage advice: "'It is not our cleverness that makes a lasting impact, but our unadorned self.'""

Leading by Being and Doing will encourage and empower you to find your true self and identify your own voice. You will discover how to lead out of who you are, and less out of who others expect you to be.
