Subsequent It may be desirable to add that, although the trusts of the Fand'1'186 f cannot be carried into effect by purchasing land (see ante, p. 66), yet, when once the fund has been incorporated with the general funds of a charitable institution, or a scheme for their application has been established, the present section ceases to have any further operation. If, then, the purchase of land should ever become necessary under the new trusts, there is nothing in the present section to prevent such purchase from being effected. The Charity Commissioners have power to authorize the purchase of land both under sect. 15 of the Charit. Trusts Act, 1860 (Tudor's Charit. Trusts, p. 572), and under their general jurisdiction to establish schemes: ibid. p. 494. SECT. 6. Land after expiration of time limited for sale to be sold by order of Charity Commissioners. 6. So soon as the time limited (a) for the sale of any lands under any such assurance(6) shall have expired without completion of the sale of the land, (c) the land unsold shall vest forthwith in the official trustee of charity lands, (cl) and the Charity Commissioners shall take all necessary steps for the sale or completion of the sale of such land to be effected with all reasonable speed by the administering trustees (e) for the time being thereof, and for this purpose the said commissioners may make any order under their seal directing such trustees to proceed with the sale or completion of the sale of the said land(/) or removing such trustees and appointing others, ) and may provide by any such order for the payment of the proceeds of sale to the offic.
