Children ought to know WHEN history took place, and they should develop a keen appreciation of the chronological unfolding of history. These timelines provide an invaluable visual, interactive tool, which should be used with EVERY History curriculum, for your child to gain a chronological understanding of history, rather than a just collection of disjointed names, events and random dates. However, the inclusion of names of persons and events does not only have to be from your History lesson, it could come from any subject e.g. Science inventions, Biblical Characters, Volcanic eruptions covered in Geography and so on and so forth.
