An Aid to the MRCP Viva (Paperback)

This book is built around an extensive survey conducted over several years. The survey has enabled the authors not only to identify the chief medical problems that should occupy the attention of postgraduate medical practitioners, but it has also allowed them to focus on the principal difficulties of the candidates and to address these. Thus, section 1 concentrates on how to prepare for the viva examination, what books and journals should be consulted, what psychological approach should be adopted, how to conduct oneself in the viva and how to interact with the examiners, and how to maintain unobtrusive verbal and nonverbal language. Section 2 represents a dissection of the viva questions (99% of these are derived from our surveys), identifies various recognisable groups of questions, and presents an approach to handling different categories of questions.
