The Daughter of Bugle Ann, which picks up where the first volume,
The Voice of Bugle Ann, leaves off, is, in our opinion, even better
than the first. Benjy Davis is now married to Camden Terry. "A
match made by a 30-30 rifle," says old Cal Royster. "A match made
in heaven," says Mrs. Royster. In either case, it was a perfect
match that would have been destroyed forever by Benjy's
hard-headedness, were it not for Camden's secret, the full truth of
which was unknown even to her until old Springfield Davis divined
the mystery of the no-account bristly-faced dog.
