Malmo University College (Swedish: Malmo hogskola) is a university college (hogskola, separate from the Swedish definition of "university") located in Malmo, Sweden. Malmo University College was founded in 1998, and it is Sweden's ninth largest undergraduate-graduate level academic institution (this level includes both universities, university colleges and specialized training colleges, e.g. acting schools).Located in the centre of Malmo at Universitetsholmen, the university college has played a central role in the transformation of Malmo from an industrial to a university town. A large part of the campus was constructed on grounds which, up to the mid-1980s, belonged to the Kockums shipyard, which had been a key element of naval-industrial Malmo.
