Soon after she gives birth to a blond-haired, green-eyed baby girl named Marla duBois. She gives her last breath for her baby. Marla unfortunately, ends up growing up in an abusive situation until she reaches her first days of middle school, where ultimately begins a significant tuning point in her life.
