Chapter two discusses the programming task and its place in the life cycle model. Chapters four to seven cover the principles of programming including abstraction, lighting complexity, expository programming and the importance of correctness. Chapters eight to fifteen provide detailed coverage of such aspects of the practice of programming as choice of programming language, logical organisation of a program, the representation of data, and documentation.
