On the Feminine (Paperback)

This collection of texts dealing with "the feminine" aims to define that which marks itself as a quality of the feminine. The book is organized according to the intersection of several disciplines: philosophy, literature, poetry, linguistics and literary criticism. In linking philosophical reflection with literary creation, these texts question our cultural representations and attempt to trace the politcal and ethical paths toward a different relationship with knowledge. At the centre of the text is the poetry-philosophy of French writer, theorist, critic and teacher Helene Cixous.
