Mr Wrong Number (Paperback)

Bad luck has always followed Olivia. But when a steamy text from a random number turns into the most entertaining relationship of her life, it seems things are looking up.

Colin has always considered Olivia his flatmate's annoying little sister. Until she moves in with them, and he realises she's turned into an altogether sexier distraction . . .

He's determined to keep his distance, but it isn't easy. Especially when he discovers she's the girl he's been secretly messaging.

Now, Mr Wrong Number must decide. Should he shut down the messages, before things get messy?

Or turn up the heat . . . ?

Reviews

Mr. Wrong Number is a chaotic, clumsy rom-com with all the best tropes done (mostly) right. As a light, easy read I really liked the premise of the book - how an accidental text could evolve into so much more. *may contain spoilers* Initially it started off really fun, the banter was top-notch; but once the identity of the misdial was uncovered certain elements of the story just did not sit well with me. 1. Olivia's extreme quirkiness was funny, but never became endearing. 2. Non-texting Olivia's back and forth with Colin came across very juvenile and left me with whiplash. 3. The plot point of lying by omission lasted way too long and the 'she's my best friends little sister' excuse got old real fast. 4. I totally understand the level of drama the miscommunication trope can bring to a book, but in this case the unnecessary drama felt forced and the grand declarations fell a little flat. Overall it was an entertaining read, but I didn't love it as much as I had hoped.
