The black and white images, hand drawn with charcoal and pastels, give an evocative and emotional experience to read with and to look at. The collective pronoun for a flock of crows is a “murder”, and since crows are the most intelligent animal on the planet, next to elephants and chimps, the crows also represent our own higher, intelligent self and lower, shadow nature. The guidebook presents the story of the meanings in a surprisingly healing and gentle way. Follows the RWS system so it’s easy to read. Some human figures on the cards are masked, representing our own masked and false selves. Colourful oracle cards match beautifully with the black and white deck when read together, and inspire intuitive readings. I love this deck … it is now my number one deck.
