Mysticism and the Creed (Paperback)

1914. There is a wide array of works on the Creed, but these other works are for the most part concerned with the form or history of the Creed, and only secondarily, if at all, with its content and meaning. It is difficult to find any work which makes a systematic attempt to state the meaning of the Apostles' Creed from a point of view which modern thought has made to be that of the ordinarily well-instructed Christian. In the absence of anything better supplying the demand for such a work, the following pages have been written and are offered with diffidence to those who feel an imperative necessity for reconciling somehow their thought and their feeling in religion.
