It is based upon eleven discharge measurements made during 1907. It is well denned between gage heights 1.0 feet and 5.5 feet. The table has been extended beyond these limits. Above gage height 5.0 feet the rating curve is a tangent, the difference being 120 per tenth. Sacandaqa River At Wells, New York. This station was established August 26, 1907, by H. K. Barrows, and is on the steel highway bridge over the east branch of the Sacandaga river in the southern part of the village of Wells, about 2% miles above the junction of the east and west branches. The drainage area at this point is 263 square miles. The channel is straight for about 25 feet above the station, then curving rather sharply to the left. It is straight for 100 feet or more down stream and then curves gently to the right. The right bank is about 12 feet high at ordinary stages and seldom or never overflows.
