In addition to the above, the Steward Settlement, in Otago, of 21,344 acres, and the Mahupnku, HUawera, and Dyer Estates, in the Wairarapa Distriot, Wellington, containing altogether 17,2-8 acres, have been acquired and are being opened for settlement. Tnere it stilt a very great demand for land of this clasB throughout the colony, and bat little Crown land available to satisfy that demand.
