Stone is famous for being the face of Calvin Klein. Her trademarks include the gap between her front teeth and her wobbly runway walk, which can be attributed to her size 7 feet, smaller than the regular runway shoe which are size 8-10. On February 19, 2010, she was tabulated as the world's number-one fashion model on the international modeling site models.com's Top 50 Models Women ranking, a position she maintains as of May 2011. She also ranks 10th on the site's "sexiest models" list. Lara Stone was born in the small Dutch town of Mierlo to a Dutch mother and a British father. She was first discovered in the Paris Metro aged 14 and took part in the Elite Model Look competition in 1999 when she was just 15. Although she did not win, she impressed Elite executives and was signed to Elite Modeling Agency and began to model
