Troup called the Association3to order at 3: oo o'clock p. m. at Hotel Victory, Put-in-Bay, Ohio, and said: It is with very great pleasure that as Chairman of the Executive Committee I welcome you to this, the twentythird annual session of the Ohio State Bar Association. I think that those of us who have for many years attended pretty regularly, have come to look forward to these meetings, with pleasure, and to remember them with both pleasure and profit. In this, as in all organizations of importance, the work necessary to its success falls to the.lot of a few men, and conspicuous among those who, by interest, faithful attendance, well-directed energy and self-sacrifice, have brought this Association to its present condition of importance and influence in the state, none has been more conspicuous than your President, Hon. S. S. Wheeler, whom I have now the pleasure of introducing to you. President Wheeler assumes the chair. Mr. Wheeler: Gentlemen of the Association: Chief Justice Williams, of the Supreme Court of Ohio, died Sunday evening, as you all know, and his funeral is being held today at Columbus and Washington Court House. I think it is the feeling of the members of this Association that some proper action should be taken here now to show its respect for Judge Williams. What is your pleasure: Mr. J. O. Troup: Mr. Chairman, I would move you that the chair appoint a committee to draft resolutions appropriate to the occasion, and that thereupon this Association, adjourn until tomorrow morning at 9:30.
