While continuing to cover the epidemiology, pathology and clinical features, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of tuberculosis, the historical section and chapters on prevention have, in particular, been expanded, a new chapter on economics included, and the book now features a section of contributions from all over the developing world by local authors.
