Desperate Measures (Paperback)

In Desperate Measures, Jennie McGrady and her cousin Lisa Calhoun are vacationing at a relative's mink ranch. While there, thousands of mink from a neighboring ranch are found dead after someone wrongly releases them. Tempers flare between the animal fights groups -- who have been hounding the mink ranchers for years -- and the mink ranchers, who claim they are doing nothing wrong.

Scott Chambers, a friend of Jennie's who recently moved to the area, becomes the primary suspect. Jennie, however, has her eye on Aleshia Sutherland, the ranch owner's daughter, who has long spoken out against raising mink for commercial use. But when Mr. Sutherland is murdered, Jennie can't begin to guess who's behind the malicious crimes. Will she find out before her own life is in danger?
