Monkey Motordrome (Paperback)

In 1965, Bridgehaven, NY, becomes unglued when an itinerant family arrives and sets up a roadside animal attraction. But it's the after-hours tent show that has townsfolk buzzing. Nearing his high school graduation, Fenton Bushing becomes obsessed with Georgia Wheeler, the show's only dancer. Her routines are more comical than sensual. But the Wheelers are out for more than just admission prices. They target the wealthy, and Fenton is heir to a vast estate. Unaware of Georgia's motives, Fenton invites her to his home where he creates the most outrageous 16mm home movie ever developed by Kodak. What memento does Georgia steal, and how does Fenton plan to get it back? With the help of his counterculture buddies, Fenton must out-maneuver the flim-flamming clan. It all boils down to a campfire incident involving a dead monkey, an unwilling Indian, and the youngest member of the Wheeler family. Warning: This black comedy contains dialogue and imagery not suitable for children.
