Vini ne umice is a village and municipality (obec) in Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. The municipality covers an area of 4.74 square kilometres (1.83 sq mi), and has a population of 1,117 (as at 3 July 2006). Vini ne umice lies approximately 16 kilometres (10 mi) east of Brno and 199 km (124 mi) south-east of Prague. South Moravian Region is an administrative unit of the Czech Republic, located in the south-western part of its historical region of Moravia, with exception of Jobova Lhota, that belongs to Bohemia. Its capital is Brno the 2nd largest city of the Czech Republic. The region is famous for its wine production. The area around the towns of Mikulov, Znojmo, Velke Pavlovice along with the Slovacko region provide 94% of the Czech Republic's vineyards.
