Kurt Daniel Birkins (born August 11, 1980 in West Hills, California) is a Major League Baseball relief pitcher in the Colorado Rockies organization. He made his major league debut on May 4, 2006. He is married to Ashley Birkins and they welcomed their daughter, Charlie Susan Birkins, on July 4, 2008. Birkins first pitched at UCLA for one season before taking a year off. He then attended Los Angeles Pierce College and signed with the Baltimore Orioles prior to the draft as they held his rights from the previous year.
