Vedran Hamzi, better known as DJ Wedran, is a disc jockey born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.Vedran Hamzi had his first encounter with psy trance music in 1997. Introduction to this branch of electronic music and trance came through European underground artists and friends returning to post-war Sarajevo. Wedran took part in various projects aimed at the promotion of electronic music. In 1998, he started to work at one of Sarajevo's radio stations. He began DJ'ing in 1999, becoming the first psy trance DJ in Sarajevo.Upon establishment of the alternative Radio 3 in the beginning of 2000, Wedran got the opportunity to share psy trance with radio audiences in Canton Sarajevo by means of the radio show Trip-to-Night. The radio show gradually won a larger audience and increased interest for psy trance among electronic music fans.
