English description: The hitherto unedited 'Christherre-Chronik' by an anonymous author from the middle of the thirteenth century is a key text in the Middle High German tradition of world chronicles in verse. The present study is conceived on the one hand as the precursor to an edition and on the other hand it puts the scholarly discussion about the history of the genre on a new footing. For the first time since the early nineteenth century, the entire manuscript tradition of the work as known today in almost 100 manuscripts and fragments is assembled and analysed from the point of view of the text's genealogy and the typology of the manuscript tradition. An extensive section is devoted to illustrations of the manuscripts described in the text. German description: Die bislang noch unedierte 'Christherre-Chronik' eines anonymen Verfassers aus der Mitte des 13. Jahrhunderts ist einer der Schlusseltexte der mittelhochdeutschen Vers-Weltchronistik. Die vorliegende Arbeit ist zum einen als editionsvorbereitende Untersuchung angelegt, zum anderen stellt sie als uberlieferungsgeschichtliche Studie die Forschungsdiskussion uber die Geschichte der Gattung auf eine neue Grundlage. Erstmals seit dem fruhen 19. Jahrhundert wird die gesamte heute bekannte Uberlieferung des Werks in beinahe 100 Handschriften und Fragmenten zusammengestellt und textgenealogisch und uberlieferungstypologisch analysiert.
