The Birthday of the King we praise, Our hearts to Him in gladness raise; The Prince is born, the Child is here Who soothes all doubt, Who calms all fear; O Christ-Child blest, we Thee adore Our Joy, our Peace for evermore. The King is born, the King most blest In stable poor now finds His rest; In mystery He is still on high, While in the manger He doth lie. O Christ-Child lowly, may each heart In this Thy lowliness have part.
