Simulation of Industrial and Commercial Systems (Paperback)

Discrete event simulation is a method of modelling any system of events running in either parallel or series. For simple systems (such as the throughput of a bar, or seaport) this is relatively straightforward, but as they get more sophisticated (such as the modelling of an entire manufacturing system) the tools required are also more involved and computer modelling plays an important role. The author has constructed a program in the Windows environment which allows the user to graphically construct the system - creating events and defining process in a visual environment. The SIMGEN package then automatically creates the source programs based on graphical representation.
