The Writing Book - Teacher's Manual (Paperback)

The Writing Book is T&W's first writing workbook designed specifically for students in grades 3-6. Inky Penguin leads students through 12 basic writing exercises: Remembering, Used to/But Now, Dreaming, Inventing, Freewriting, Describing, Acrostics, Haiku, Partners, Dialogue, Collage, and Revising. Inky explains each form and gives good examples by other students, and then encourages the student to write on the facing page. The Writing Book also includes a section on making books, a glossary, and a bibliography.
