Ruby Cairo (DVD)

Bessie Faro's quiet life takes a dramatic turn for the worse when her husband, Johnny, is reported killed in a fiery plane crash in Veracruz, Mexico, leaving Bessie with nothing but a mortgage and a stack of unpaid bills. Gathering Johnny's personal effects from an unknown Veracruz office, Bessie discovers a yellowed piece of paper wrapped around some musty old baseball cards. The cards contain several clues that lead Bessie to a cash rich Veracruz bank account and to the suspicion that the man she thought she knew, the man she loved, may have been leading a double life. Bessie decides to follow the baseball cards' remaining clues and embarks on a far-flung journey unravelling the tangled secrets of Johnny's chequered past. Along the way, Bessie encounters the enigmatic Dr. Fergus Lamb, who may or may not be associated with Johnny's dark past.
