Polycondensation of O-Dinitriles of Aromatic Polycarboxylic Acides and Diamines - A New Field of Polymer Chemistry (Paperback)

This book describes the chemistry of the interaction of bisphthalodnitriles with diamines, and appropriate model reactions, and establishes the physicochemical laws of those reactions. On this basis, general ideas are formulated about the mechanisms of the reactions in question and scientific foundations are constructed for the poly-condensation of tetranitriles of aromatic tetracarbocylic acids and diamines. Determined use of this method of synthesis has made it possible to obtain six new classes of polymers, including some with macrocyclic structure and others which do not contain macroheterocycles.
