After being uprooted from England and dragged halfway across the world to Chicargo so that her mam could marry a man she met on the internet seven years ago, eighteen year old Madison never really felt like she fit in anywhere. Her mam and stepdad, Mike, had a kid together, Grace, pretty much as soon as they married and so the happy family was made, with Madison often feeling like she was on the outside looking in and she couldn't even turn to her dad for comfort after never meeting him. She did have her two best friends, Sarah and Josh they were actually her only friends but even their she often felt like the odd one out because they were a couple. So her time was pretty much divided into going to school, hanging with Sarah and Josh or hiding in her room away from the family and listening to loud music and watching zombie films and b-movie classics. Her only joy came from her own website "Watching you, watching me" Where she could delve into the world of the unknown, to try to find ghosts and other super natural anomalies. Until she witnessed a murder being committed from her bedroom window. The police found no trace of a murder or a body and put it down to an over active imagination, and after feeling like she's constantly being followed and seeing black eyes staring out at her from the shadows Madison is beginning to think they maybe right. But after playing back the recording from her website she descovers some strange going ons in her own room whilst she sleeps. Further investigations lead her to William who soon opens her eyes to a whole world of cover ups and monsters revealing not only his true heritage but that the world is full of vampires werewolves and demons and that a secret company ran by humans police the monsters acting as judge jury and exicutioner to anyone upsetting the balance and blowing the secret they have worked for hundereds of years to protect.And during all of this a forbiding romance bagins with dire consiquences.
