There will be fome Difference indeed arnongft Chriftians as to the particular Doctrines they believe, fome believing more Articles, fome few-r, and this rrmft needs be, till they be all equal m their Knowledge. Yet in the way exCepted againfr, they will every one be obliged to believe liave and pra&ife according to the extent of their Knowledge, and to agree in Faith and Pra&ife, io for as they do in Knowledge. And let People advance what Notions they pleafe, 'concerning what Articles are rieceffary to make Men Chriftians, they cannot rationally agree any further than they will this way j unlefs they muff. all be ftak'd down to believe juft one let of Doctrines, without extending their Endeavours after Knowledge any further. And if this be a way to prevent Peoples raifing Exceptions againft a great part of Religion, I cannot excufe it from doing unfufferable Wrong to a great part of Religion.
