This will be the first substantial publication to offer an overview of Lucas' work from 1990 to today, and to focus on her approach to exhibition making, installation and her concern with the architectural environment in which her work is placed. The first book features 28 short scholarly texts, each focused on a single work by the artist, and installation photographs of the Whitechapel Gallery exhibition. The second volume presents documentation of the year-long SITUATION series alongside a personal account by the artist; foreword by Iwona Blazwick and an illustrated chronology.
