Separation systems and wet scrubbers (Paperback)

, ,
In the context of cooperation between the Mechanical Engineering Department of National School of Engineers of Sfax (ENIS) and Industrial Engineering Technology (IET), our study was initiated to develop dimensional tools for separators and wet scrubbers in the production lines of phosphoric acid. In this book, we are interested to reduce the emission of toxic gases released into the atmosphere. The origin of these gases is the phosphate fertilizer in the TSP (Triple Super Phosphate) and the phosphoric acid units. To do this, we designed and built the various components needed in this process namely the study of gas-particle separation in the solid cyclone, the study of the venturi contactors used to recover the solid particles and to absorb fluorine, the study of the spray column ensuring gas absorption before release into the atmosphere and verification of results with the simulation tool Aspen.
