On the Ascendant - A Calendar of Stars (Calendar)

This calendar looks at the twelve zodiac signs through the horoscopes of some famous individuals who happened to have a connection with the work of the White Eagle Lodge and/or were specifically mentioned by White Eagle in his teachings, such Arthur Conan Doyle. Each month features a person with a different sign rising ('on the ascendant') in their horoscope with a brief description of the effects of that sign in their life. Readers are able to use these descriptions to further their own understanding of the signs and their relevance to their own character and experience. Each month displays a small picture of the chosen individual (head only), their horoscope chart in diagrammatic form, and the appropriate description, which is kept simple and to the point, requiring no prior astrological knowledge on the part of the reader. The double meaning of the word 'stars', as heavenly bodies and famous individuals, is fully intended, as it is with the expression 'on the ascendant', as meaning someone coming into prominence but also a technical astrological term, from which the popular meaning has derived.
