The speaker's right in my ear, . . . oOh No . . . it's in my HEAD with a powerful range of "FULL BASE", mid and treble, awesome original sound. My Masser tablet and my high end Sony's in-ear earphones look impressive but when I tested my SKULLCANDY I knew I will never EVER hunt for another brand, never mind wired over-ear headphones. I will be ordering some more and believe me, the price is right. You really don't need to pay more, to get what you get out of this little power units. Realy worth it.
